Very interesting article here from the Guardian about why exam classes take priority and how KS3 accordingly suffers... ring any bells?
The Guardian caption claims that "teachers often hardly know their key stage 3 students apart, as schools allocate their resources to year groups doing outside exams." To what extent do you think this is the case?

I by no means agree with everything proposed here but I do believe that we could all take some of these ideas and use them productively...
