A very worthwhile read from the Guardian.
We look to challenge our most academic pupils in order to encourage the intellectual independence and flexibility sought by the most prestigious universities and employers. We want to support students in their development as rational and realistic problem solvers with the ability to think outside the box when they deal with unfamiliar scenarios.
A candidate for the world's elite universities is not something a school can manufacture. We seek to enable students to bring out their appetite for and talents in their chosen field of study so that they may enjoy being challenged and enthused by leading figures in that field.
