ADVICE:
- Get enough sleep
- Reach out. It’s one of the hardest things you’ll do but I promise it’s so so worth it. You are not alone.
- Support is welcome
- Talk to someone you trust
- Talk to yourself in the mirror - you don’t need anyone else’s reassurance, just your own.
- Find friends and make a family
- Talk to your family, friends and teachers when you think you’re ready
- Have enough rest, mentally and physically
- Eat, sleep and work hard
- You’re not alone, talk to someone
- If you need or want help, go get it, don’t worry about what anyone else thinks.
- Don’t be afraid to seek help
- Don’t let it define you
- It is completely okay to have an emotional breakdown, you’re allowed to.

- To always seek support when feeling ill or you spot symptoms
- Believe in yourself and be who you really are
- Exercise regularly as it can release endorphins
- Talk to your parents
- Try to have fun in ever the most hectic days of IB and distance yourself from pressure
- Sometimes things don’t go the way you want but we just have to go with that - maybe someone is hurting you, maybe you had a break up with a friend. Don’t forget you have people around you that love you more than you know.
- Support is welcome
- Don’t be afraid to talk to people who care about you.
- Take care of your mental health the way that you would take care of your physical health
- Focus on the positives
- Go out and enjoy sports in the sun
- Do sports - let yourself go!
- Find friends who understand you.
- Stay positive
- Do the things you like!
- Talk to your family more, don’t just stay in your room.
- Try to be happy with yourself; treat yourself well, exercise, eat healthily…
- Don’t study late into the night - get at least 7 hours sleep
- Don’t be afraid to speak up and seek support.
- There will statistically be times when things seem awful, but also statistically times when wonderful things happen.
- Talk or if you don’t want to do that - keep a diary to express your feelings.
- Talk to someone about your thoughts
- It’s not a choice - don’t pressure people. If you are not okay, then talk to someone.
